How long have you been in the Asheville area?
We finished school in California, got married in Maryland and then moved to Asheville in 1993.

Tell us about your family.
Steve is a Rehab Manager.   We have two boys.  Jake works for Advent Health and lives with his wife Amariah in Florida and Josh just graduated with a Finance degree.  We also have a giant white cat named Sully, and two rescue dogs, Lady Bug and Wilson.

How did you first get connected with APCS?
I participated in chapels and classroom worships at APCS for years.  Then enrolled Jake in first grade and Josh came the next year in K.  10 years ago I joined the APCS team as principal.

What preparation did you have for your role at APCS?

I got my Masters in Religious Education from La Sierra University.  But strangely, my years as a hospice chaplain did a lot to prepare me to listen and lead and teach.

What insight about APCS does your role give you that most people don't know?
How very very hard teachers work.  And how much they care for their students.

What do you hope for APCS?
That every day our students and teachers will all lean in to our mission - to Learn.  Grow.  Shine.

What are your hobbies?
I love to read, walk, travel and hang out with my family!

In His presence is fullness of Joy.
