How long have you been in the Asheville area?
I moved here from Florida in 2000.
Tell us about your family.
I've been married to Jeremy Cox since 2002. We have 4 kids; Bianca, Ava, Mason and Madison, ages 8-12 and in grades 7,5, 3 and 2. We also claim our 2, 4-legged hairy children (dogs), a 100 lb Lab/Rottweiler mix and our 6 month old Siberian Husky.
How did you first get connected with APCS?
We've been members of Foster Church since 2001 and decided to send our kids to Christian school here.
What preparation did you have for your role at APCS?
I started here as Kindergarten teacher assistant. I think my role as a mom of 4 helped me with this. I then shifted into an office assistant position. I have a talent for organization, timeliness, and reliability and also around 20 years of office experience. Currently I am taking over as school Registrar and Data Manager, helping families with inquiries, applications, enrollments and school records.
What insight about APCS does your role give you that most people don't know?
The need for more classroom space to help reduce our waiting lists for potential students.
What do you hope for APCS?
I hope that we can expand quickly to add more classrooms and a Cafeteria/Gymnasium for the benefit of our staff, students, and potential students.
What are your hobbies?
Traveling, especially to new places or the beach, soaking up the sunshine, I also enjoy riding horses when I get the chance, hiking and exploring, and shopping thrift stores or online.
