What do you love most about living in Asheville?
I have lived in Asheville all my life and love being surrounded by mountains! With Asheville being a mix of a city and small town it has the best of both worlds - being calm but also the busy life when around downtown areas.
Tell us about your family.
I am the youngest of three sibling who all live in the Asheville area as well. I have been blessed to grow up around my extended family who have been in the area all my life. I have three beautiful nieces, two that attend APCS and one who is in high school.
How did you first get connected with APCS?
Having lived in this area, I was able to attend APCS starting in PreK and on to 8th grade. My family also attended APCS growing up. I have helped at APCS over the years with field days and being able to run Kids Camp with Jake Miller. (Mrs. Miller's son).
What preparation did you have for your role at APCS?
I am currently working on getting my bachelors in business management. I have a few semesters left of that and then will hopefully be moving on to get my masters. I have been a Childcare Director before this job, with many babysitting and nanny jobs. So even thought my degree will not be in education, I love working with kids.
What are your hobbies?
I love to hang out with friends and family! I also enjoy spending time with my dog and being outside. I am a big movie person so on rainy days I love to enjoy new or old movies.
